The sun was low on the horizon, falling on the face of the flowers. The result of looking high and low from every angle was this shot capturing the sun-glow and shadows of the overlapping petals as I viewed the blooms from behind at ground level.

You captured this at just the right time…the contrasts in this makes the image!!
We see a lot of daffodil photos at this time of year but almost always from the other side. Your perspective makes this one unique and so does the pretty backlighting. Very nice change of pace!

Thanks Mike! I was trying to follow one of my own Friday tips to move around and take the shot from several different angles or points of view – and it paid off big this time!
