Who... Me?

I see that I’ve had more than a few clicks on this page so I guess it’s time to force myself out of my shell and write a bit about myself. 

I suppose the reluctance to write about “me” is indicative of that fact that I’m naturally a bit shy.  When I was in grad school one of my teachers said I was like a voyeur – just sat on the outside observing, but rarely participating, and that is pretty accurate as to how I generally function in groups.  I guess that translates to “online” groups too – until I get to know everyone.  So here’s a bit about me – leave a comment telling me a bit about yourself too so we can get to know each other.

The basics: Born and raised in Michigan, after college lived in New York City, Boston, MA and then back to the south shore of Long Island, NY where I live now with my husband. 

Career:  After college I established a fashion jewelry business in NYC which I pursued for about 10 years before moving on to jobs in sports marketing, video production and most recently the food industry, working for a number of bread manufacturers in customer service, marketing and currently product development.

Creative pursuits: Photography is one of my most recent and current passions.  Scrapbooking, knitting and numerous other crafts keep me busy, along with gardening and enjoying good food – dining out and cooking or baking at home.

And now my reluctance to be outgoing and open about myself is kicking in as I find it difficult to write more.  You’ll have to draw me out with comments and questions if you want to get to know me better!
